Jessica Jáquez-Trejo, Principal of St. Joseph’s Catholic School for the 2025-2026 School Year!

Father Fabián and our School Community are proud to announce the appointment of Mrs. Jessica Jáquez-Trejo as the next Principal of St. Joseph Catholic School for the 2025-2026 school year.  Dr. Hollis will continue at St. Joseph until the end of the academic year.  Mrs. Trejo will come on board at the end of April.

Mrs. Trejo brings over 20 years of education experience to her role as Principal of St. Joseph’s Catholic School. A lifelong Catholic and proud product of Catholic education, she has served as a classroom teacher, instructional coach, district coordinator, and campus administrator. Her leadership is rooted in a deep commitment to forming the whole child—intellectually, spiritually, emotionally, and morally.

She holds dual Master’s degrees in Bilingual and Reading Education from the University of Texas at El Paso and will graduate with a Master’s in Catholic Pastoral Studies from the University of St. Thomas later this year. This unique combination of faith and academic training has prepared her to serve the needs of the bicultural border community where she was born and raised. Her experience includes leading teacher and leadership development within curriculum innovation at the local, national, and international levels.

As the wife of a deacon and an active member of the Diocese of El Paso, Mrs. Trejo is passionate about helping students, families, and educators grow from being Catholics by tradition to Catholics by conviction. She believes Catholic education is not only a ministry but a calling—to form saints, inspire servant leadership, and prepare students to face the world with faith, integrity, and purpose with a joy for learning and inquiry.

Mrs. Trejo is honored to be part of the St. Joseph’s family and is committed to building a school culture where Christ is at the center of everything and every student is known, loved, and called to greatness.

 Welcome, Mrs. Trejo!
